Matauri Bay is famed for it's beautiful white sand and totally crystal clear water, In the shot the sun rises over the Cavilli islands, the site is also home to the scuttled wreck of Rainbow Warrior I, the Greenpeace vessel that was covertly bombed by the French secret service in 1985 while moored in Auckland harbour.
